Why "Editorial"?
Most developer portfolios look the same: dark mode, neon borders, and tech icons. For my 2026 portfolio refresh, I wanted something that felt like a premium magazine—sophisticated, high-contrast, and focused on typography.
Typography over Icons
By using Instrument Serif and Bodoni, the site gains an "authoritative" voice. It tells a recruiter that I am an engineer who cares about the fine details of the user experience.
The Color Palette
We moved away from "Pure Black" to a "Warm Paper" (#faf6ef) and "Deep Ink" palette. This creates a tactile, physical feel that makes digital code feel more human and permanent.
